I am an artist born in the Post USSR and living in Canada since 1999. My first teacher was my mother - a professional artist and architect. I have been painting all my life, but made art my permanent occupation in 2018. I started teaching children 30 years ago. And since 2018, I have also been teaching lessons to adults.
Watercolor is my passion, which I try to show in my paintings, and I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students.
I like to try different techniques, but prefer to work on wet paper, allowing the paints to spread freely, interacting with moisture. I always enjoy unexpected effects, new shades and iridescence on paper. I love working in a limited but bright palette!
I love to draw portraits, landscapes, and flowers ... But portraits most of all, perhaps. I pay great attention to the composition in order to attract the viewer's attention to the most important thing in this composition.
